Small Business Health Care Tax Credit

*The new Healthcare Legislation provides tax assistance for qualified small businesses that sponsor medical coverage for employees. To qualify for the Credit a business must employ fewer than 25 full-time equivalent employees, pay at least half of Employee-Only Coverage premiums, and calculate the average salary of all employees to be $50,000 or less (excluding owners). Non-profits and Tax-Exempt Organizations can also claim the credit. Qualifying businesses can get up to 35% of the cost of premium in tax credits for the 2010 tax year. Please contact your CPA or Attorney for further discussion regarding the Tax Credit Provision of the Healthcare Reform Act.

Federal Grants for Wellness

*Federal funds are being set aside for small businesses to use to develop Wellness Programs. Our goal is to advise our clients on how to apply for Wellness funding and how to implement Wellness Programs. Please contact us if you would like to develop a Wellness Program or apply for a Wellness Grant.

*On July 1, 2010 the government will launch www.healthcare.gov. This site will give consumers a list of all private and government health care plans for individuals and small businesses in their area. Please contact us for more information regarding details of this website.
